Dr. Michael Thrall is an assistant professor of pathology and attending pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. He is a coauthor of Diagnostic Pathology: Cytopathology and is the editor of The ASC Bulletin, the newsletter for the American Society of Cytopathology. In 2003, Dr. Thrall graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN and completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency with a surgical pathology fellowship elective at the same institution.  He then completed a fellowship in cytopathology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY before joining the faculty at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2008.
