Thompson, Karen S., MD
Dr. Karen Thompson completed her medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine followed by a pathology residency and surgical pathology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, and a pediatric pathology fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital affiliated with Baylor University School of Medicine. She is board certified in AP/CP Pathology and Pediatric Pathology. After completing her training, she returned to her home state of Hawaii as the pediatric pathologist for the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu, the pediatric referral center for Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. She is a Professor of Pathology and a Course Director at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, and has been a speaker at local and national pathology conferences.
