Dr. Smoller has served as the Director of Dermatopathology at Stanford University School of Medicine, in the same capacity at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he was also a Professor of Pathology and Dermatology, and served as Chair of the Department of Pathology.  He has been the President of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. For the past 18 months, he has served as the Executive Vice President of the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology.
