Dr. Rushing, currently Professor of Pathology and Chief of Diagnostics at the Institute of Neuropathology, University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, is the former Chair of Neuropathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, DC, and Professor of Neurology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland. She has over 20 years experience and has served as Chair of the Neuropathology Review Committee of the Southwest Oncology Group, a national organization devoted to developing new treatments for cancer. Previous academic appointments include Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Georgetown University Hospital. Her research interests include brain tumors, infectious diseases, and inflammatory muscle diseases.
