Dr. Monica P. Revelo is a Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah, Department of Pathology. Lead author on Amirsys Diagnostic Pathology: Cardiovascular.  She is an internationally recognized expert in heart transplant pathology as well as in kidney pathology. Over a 7-year academic career she has published over 50 articles and several book chapters in these areas. A graduate of Universidad Central Medical School, in Ecuador, Dr. Revelo did her residency in Anatomic Pathology, a Renal Pathology Fellowship, and Urologic Pathology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  Her major area of research interest is centered on heart transplant pathology and medical kidney diseases.
