Nosé, Vania, MD, PhD
Dr. Vania Nosé is a Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, and Director of Anatomic and Molecular Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Nosé is also the Director of Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, and Safety in Anatomic Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Nosé is a surgical pathologist with subspecialty expertise in endocrine pathology. She has served as a consultant for difficult endocrine pathology cases locally, regionally, and internationally. Dr. Nosé has published extensively on endocrine pathology, tumor pathology, and also in molecular aspects of neoplasia with over 150 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters. Dr. Nosé has described the pathological classification of familial thyroid tumors, inherited tumor syndromes, as well as the pituitary pathology synoptic reporting. She is the author of the CAP endocrine pathology competencies. She had served on the editorial boards of numerous pathology journals and is a past President of the Endocrine Pathology Society. Dr. Nosé also has numerous publications on quality assurance in surgical pathology and error reduction in surgical pathology. Dr. Nosé authored a comprehensive textbook in endocrine pathology titled Diagnostic Pathology: Endocrine and Diagnostic Pathology: Familial Cancer Syndromes.
