Dr. Montgomery is from Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, where she hold the title of Professor of Pathology, Oncology, and Orthopedic Surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in Chemistry and studied medicine at George Washington University. She completed her pathology training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as a member of the United States Army. After a tour at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, she served at The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Soft Tissue Branch before leaving the Army. She has since held faculty positions at Georgetown University, and, since 1999, at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. She has over 250 publications in both gastrointestinal pathology and soft tissue pathology, including several textbooks.
