His experience spans military, private practice, and academic settings.
He is past lead editor of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Performance Improvement Program in Surgical Pathology, past vice chair of the CAP Cancer Committee, and lead author on the most recent CAP checklists for reporting cutaneous melanoma, merkel cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.
