Dr. Foucar received her BS and MD degrees from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, and her specialty training in Laboratory Medicine and Anatomic Pathology at the University of New Mexico Affiliated Hospitals: Albuquerque, NM and the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is Professor of Pathology and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, Pathology, and University of New Mexico School of Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. She serves as the Medical Director of Genetics and Cytometry Services for TriCore Reference Laboratories. She is the coauthor of an AFIP fascicle on Non-neoplastic Disorders of Bone Marrow (2008), lead author of the 3rd edition of Bone Marrow Pathology (2010), and lead author of Diagnostic Pathology: Blood and Bone Marrow (2012).
