Anthony Chang earned his biology degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency and a renal pathology fellowship at the University of Washington, and now is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Chicago. He served as President of the Chicago Pathology Society and will be President of the Renal Pathology Society (2017). His research interests include the role of B and plasma cells in lupus nephritis and transplant rejection. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewed papers, reviews, and book chapters, and is on the editorial boards of Laboratory Investigation and Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He has taught educational courses on renal pathology at the annual meetings for the American Society of Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, US and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and American College of Rheumatology.
